On November 17, 2017, the Bristol Compressors Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive added 1,129 nonperishable items to the Bristol Emergency Food Pantry.
“Our food drive was extremely successful,” Derek Winkle, Director of Human Resources said. “I am very proud of our Bristol employees who donated a tremendous amount of food and effort this year. In many cases, our friends and neighbors are the ones who benefit from the food drive.”
“The donations from the Bristol Compressors Thanksgiving Food Drive makes a huge difference to the families we help,” Stocking Coordinator Bill Oliver said. “It was very timely with the holidays upon us.”
“People who need food today are not those who we traditionally think of as needy,” said Dustin Steward, Bristol’s Sr. Marketing Manager. “Most people in need of assistance are formerly working, middle class families who lost their jobs or are underemployed. This food drive made a real difference, but I urge everyone to continue to donate throughout the year because the need for food is not a seasonal event.”
In addition to food items, Bristol Compressors also donated $2500 to match its employees’ generosity.
